Anvaya have released "Churaya," a record that sat unfinished for roughly two years before a flight to Dubai pushed it over the line. Kaushal joined the original sketch to a separate groove during the journey and passed it on, and the track was completed overnight, according to Dancing Astronaut.

The finished version is built on sweeping stabs and tribal percussion, holding its tension without resolving into a conventional drop. Sonia sings original Hindi poetry across the top of it, used more as another instrument in the arrangement than as a topline vocal.

The duo's backgrounds account for much of the record's harmonic character. Kaushal is jazz-trained and Sonia comes from a classical background, and the combination pulls their melodic house toward darker chords and less predictable harmony.

That approach is consistent with the pair's set at Coachella in 2025, where they brought Gujarati Garba to the Gobi Stage as part of Indo Warehouse's performance, the first appearance at the festival by a South Asian electronic collective.
